Ebbtide Meditation and Sleep App

Overview

Ebbtide is a complete meditation and sleep app for a meditation teacher, a yoga or breathwork studio, or a wellness brand that wants its own app. Day screens are bright and carried by coastal photographs; the player, the breathing session, the timer and Sleep are quiet night screens. It opens on sample data: three teachers, 22 sessions, three courses and a person three weeks into their practice.

Sound

Eight seamless sound loops (rain, waves, harbour wind, brown noise, a driftwood fire, a rock pool, a low hum and a bell buoy) and three bells ship with the app. They were synthesised for this template, so there is nothing to license; replace them with your own recordings any time. Sample sessions are guided by on-screen cues over a sound bed; upload narrated recordings and they play instead.

AI and backend

• Supabase: anonymous accounts, your catalog of teachers, sessions and courses, plays, check-ins, mixes and saved sessions, all with row-level security

• Free limits held in the database (two-layer mixes, one saved mix), so a modified app cannot skip them

• An AI function on Google Gemini writes sessions and the weekly reflection; sensitive topics never reach the model and open a support page instead

• Sample mode works with no backend: every screen, the sounds and the AI answers

Monetisation

Ebbtide Plus is an in-app subscription through RevenueCat: a yearly plan with a 7-day free trial and a monthly plan. Free users get 14 of the sessions (Your first week among them), two breathing patterns, the timer, three sounds and one saved two-layer mix.

Setup

Connect Supabase and run the three migrations, add your Gemini key for the AI features, and set up the Plus entitlement in RevenueCat. Ebbtide is for relaxation and a daily habit: it is not a medical device and does not replace professional care.
