{"slug":"templates","title":"Templates","summary":"A template is a complete working app. Forking it creates an editable project in your organization, with a setup checklist for the steps that remain.","body":"Browse templates from the marketing site or from **Templates** in the signed-in app. Each card shows what the app is for, its screens, and whether forking it is free or paid.\n\n## What a fork is\n\nA fork is a new project copied from a verified release of the template, not from a project someone is still editing. You choose the organization and the app name. The copy is yours to change in chat, in Design, or in Code.\n\n## Free and paid templates\n\n- **Free** templates fork immediately.\n- **Paid** templates unlock once per organization. Later releases of that template stay unlocked. The purchase is not a subscription and does not expire when a plan ends.\n- Templates your organization has unlocked are listed under **Library**.\n\nForking does not spend generation credits. The plan's project limit still applies. Later chat turns and native builds spend credits as usual.\n\n## Setup after the fork\n\nEach template includes a setup checklist in the chat: what to prepare, and a prompt you can send the assistant for each step. Typical steps are connecting the backend, replacing sample data, setting the brand, and publishing.\n\n> [!TIP]\n> Add credentials under [Connections](/docs/connections) before you send a setup prompt that needs them. The prompt should never contain a secret.\n\n## Permissions\n\nYou need permission to create apps in the organization.
