What’s inside

  1. A poster for every invite: studio still lifes, three type styles on eight papers, your own photo or one made with AI
  2. Guests reply from one link in the app or on the web: going, maybe or can't go, plus-ones, a note and your questions
  3. A bring list where each guest signs up for what they bring, and two people can never claim the same dish
  4. A shared album after the night for the people who went, with report and block
  5. A pass with a QR code for every guest, scanned with the camera at the door
  6. Find a date: offer three days, guests vote, the host picks and everyone who voted hears it

About this template

Overview

A long supper table set outdoors at golden hour, waiting for its guests

Merrily is a complete party invitation app. A host makes an invite that looks like a poster, shares one link, and sees who is coming, who brings what and every photo after the night. Guests reply in a tap, in the app or from the link on the web, and nobody outside the invite can find the event.

Key features

  • Events: your next get-together as a poster card, and every invite waiting for your reply answered in place

    Events
  • The invite: poster, when and where, who's coming, the host's updates, comments, the bring list and the album

    The invite
  • Create: pick a photo or type poster, write the invite (or let AI draft it), set plus-ones, capacity and questions

    Create
  • Guests: replies, plus-ones, notes and answers for the host, and a nudge for the people who haven't replied

    Guests
  • Bring list: guests claim items one at a time, the host adds and edits them

    Bring list
  • Album: everyone who went adds photos to one place

Screens

35 screens: welcome, sign-in with an email code, your profile, Events, the invite as guest and host, the reply sheet, guests, bring list, updates and comments, message guests, find a date and offer dates, album and photo viewer, the pass, check-in, edit, share, the four steps of making an invite, the link landing page, Activity, Memories, You, reminders, blocked people, Merrily Pro, terms, privacy and about. Light and dark.

AI and backend

Live mode runs on Supabase: one migration with row level security on every table and server functions for the rules that matter (the address hidden until a reply, capacity and the waitlist, plus-one limits, one claim per item, check-in by pass code, reset links, deleting a person's data). Photos and posters live in private storage buckets. Four AI tasks run in one Edge Function with Gemini: write the invite, draft an update, suggest a bring list, and make a poster from a few words. A second function deletes an account on request.

Monetisation

Merrily Pro is a subscription through RevenueCat (monthly and yearly). Free hosts get three upcoming events and 40 guests each; Pro adds AI posters, questions for guests, check-in at the door and up to 300 guests. A price at the door is shown to guests and paid at the venue, not processed in the app.

Setup

The app opens on sample events with no setup. To go live, connect Supabase and run the migrations, deploy the two Edge Functions with your AI key, add your RevenueCat keys, and publish the web app so invite links open for guests without the app. The README walks through each step.

Set up after you fork

Your copy opens with the AI assistant that built it. Do the steps in order: connect what a step asks for under Server, then send each prompt.

  1. Connect Supabase and run the migrations

Server › Backend › Supabase: add your project, then apply supabase/migrations to create the events, replies, bring lists, albums and storage buckets.

    Prompt for the AI

Connect my Supabase project, apply every migration in supabase/migrations in order, and deploy the ai and delete-account Edge Functions.

  2. Add your AI key

Server › API keys & secrets: GEMINI_API_KEY for the ai Edge Function (invite writing, update drafts, bring lists and posters).

    Prompt for the AI

Set GEMINI_API_KEY as a secret for the ai Edge Function and check that Write it for me works.

  3. Set up Merrily Pro

Server › Monetization: your RevenueCat keys, a pro entitlement with a monthly and a yearly product, and the webhook to the revenuecat-webhook function.

    Prompt for the AI

Connect RevenueCat with my iOS and Android keys, create the pro entitlement with monthly and yearly products, and point the webhook at the revenuecat-webhook function.

  4. Publish the web app for invite links

Publish › Web app, then set EXPO_PUBLIC_INVITE_BASE_URL to its address so a guest without the app opens the invite in the browser.

    Prompt for the AI

Publish the web version of this app and set EXPO_PUBLIC_INVITE_BASE_URL to its address.

Questions

Is it free?

Copying a free template costs nothing, not even credits; a Premium one is a one-time purchase per website. Chat changes and builds use credits.

What do I own?

You own the app made for you. The template’s code stays InspireUI’s and is licensed for use in your apps (Terms › Our intellectual property).

Do I need to know code?

No. Ask the assistant for changes in plain words; the full source is there when you want it.

Does it come with a backend?

No. A full app names the backend it needs and you connect your own under Server; a design runs on sample data.

Can I change the design?

Yes. The Design tab sets the brand colour, colours, fonts and corners at no credit cost; the assistant changes the rest.

Which plan do I need to publish?

Creator or higher builds and uploads to the stores, with your own Apple and Google accounts. A Premium template’s app builds on any plan once its website is connected.

Can I download the source?

Yes, with Download source or Push to GitHub, once your workspace has bought a plan, credits or a paid template. A Premium template’s app also needs its website connected.

What if it was made with an earlier FluxNative?

Your copy works as it is. Ask the assistant to update it for newer features such as app languages and currencies; it is the last setup step.

Ready to make it yours?

Start from Merrily Party Invitation & RSVP App and change anything by chat. Your copy comes with the full source.

Free to copy. No credit card required.
