Overview
Mosaic is a photo-heavy community app template for founders and developers building a social network, creator community or member-driven media product. It includes the core surfaces for account access, a visual feed, stories, search, posts, profiles, messaging, activity, short videos and live streams.
The main journey starts with account selection or email sign-in, followed by registration or password recovery when needed. After entering the app, members browse stories and photo posts, search content, open post details, watch short videos or live sessions, create posts from their device library or camera, reply through messages, review activity and follow requests, and manage their own or another member’s profile.

Photo feed — Show stories and photo posts with likes, captions and comments in the home experience.

The project uses a native mobile stack and separates route files from feature screens and service logic for authentication, profiles, feed, stories, messages, activity, live sessions and media.
Framework — Expo SDK 57 with React Native for iOS and Android.
Navigation — Expo Router route files with a tab layout and parameterized routes for posts, stories, members, conversations and live sessions.
Backend — Supabase provides the Postgres database, authentication and Storage used by the app.
Auth — Supabase Auth supports email and password sign-in, account creation, password reset and persistent sessions through supabase-js and AsyncStorage.
Data — The documented schema covers profiles, posts, stories, messages, activities and live streams with row-level security policies.
Storage — Supabase Storage includes avatars and media buckets for profile and post media.
