Screens

6 screens from the working app.

What’s inside

  1. Records with expo-audio: mono AAC, keeps going with the screen locked, bookmarks and typed notes while it records
  2. Transcript with speakers and timestamps, a summary in 5 editable templates or your own, action items with owners
  3. Ask across all notes: excerpts picked on the device, every answer cites the note and the moment it was said
  4. Three AI tasks on Gemini through one Supabase Edge Function, priced in daily units, with free monthly caps
  5. Sample mode with 14 realistic notes and designed AI results, so every screen works before you connect a backend

About this template

Overview

Murmur is a voice notes and meeting notes app for professionals, students and founders. Tap once to record; Murmur transcribes the recording, finds who spoke, writes a summary under the headings of the template you chose and lists the action items with owners and due dates. Ask then answers questions across every note and points to the moment each thing was said.

It is a complete Expo SDK 57 / React Native app on the FluxNative kernel: native tabs with Liquid Glass chrome on iOS, Material on Android, a browser preview, light and dark.

Key features

  • Recorder: live level, large timer, pause, bookmarks and typed notes on a timeline; a new file every ten minutes so each part fits one transcription call.

  • Processing in three real stages (transcribe, find speakers, write the summary), saved as each lands and resumed after a restart; no percentages.

  • The note as a document: summary headings and points, your marks, topics that ask across notes; Rewrite with another template, edit by hand, Undo.

  • Transcript with speaker names in colour (rename a voice once for the whole note) and timestamps that play the recording from there.

  • Action items to check, add and remove, each with its owner, due day and where it was said.

  • Templates: Meeting, Lecture, Idea, 1:1 and Interview, each with editable headings and guidance, plus your own.

  • Notes list with search across titles, summaries and transcripts, folders, swipe to delete with Undo.

  • Import an audio file in the web build, with its waveform measured from the audio.

Screens

  • Welcome, onboarding (what you record, default template) and the Pro page.

  • Notes, Record, Ask and You tabs.

  • Recorder, processing, note (Summary, Transcript, Actions), note editing, import.

  • Conversation with your notes, summary templates and template editing.

  • You: minutes left this month, a 14-day recording chart, language, keep recordings, Delete my data; Terms, Privacy and About in the app.

AI and backend

With the Supabase values blank the app runs in sample mode: 14 notes from two weeks of a product team, an evening economics course and voice ideas; new recordings get designed sample results and each screen says so in one quiet line. The browser preview's recorder is a labelled stand-in that never opens the microphone; a phone build records with expo-audio.

Connected, notes, transcripts, action items and folders live in Supabase tables under row-level security, kept recordings in a private storage bucket, and the AI runs in one Supabase Edge Function (ai) calling Google Gemini with your key. Each install signs in anonymously; there are no visible accounts.

  • transcribe-10 to transcribe-60: one recording part to segments with speakers and times, 1 unit per started 10 minutes.

  • summarize: transcript, template headings and guidance and your marks to a title, sections, action items and topics, 2 units.

  • ask-notes: a question and the matching lines of your notes to an answer with citations, 1 unit.

  • Free plans are capped at 120 transcribed minutes and 10 questions a calendar month (server-side, adjustable); quota answers open the Pro page.

Monetisation

Murmur Pro (entitlement pro) is sold through RevenueCat with react-native-purchases: unlimited minutes and questions, the 1:1 and Interview templates and your own. Until you connect RevenueCat to sell, the Pro page shows sample prices ($9.99 a month, $59.99 a year) with the line that subscriptions open in the App Store version, and never grants access. The included revenuecat-webhook function writes Pro to the server, which raises the AI allowance.

Setup

Connect Supabase, add the Gemini key and deploy the functions, then connect RevenueCat to sell Pro. Opening audio files on a phone needs expo-document-picker (one adapter file); sample notes ship without audio, so the player appears for real recordings.

Set up after you fork

Your copy opens with the AI assistant that built it. Do the steps in order: connect what a step asks for under Server, then send each prompt.

  1. Connect Supabase

Server › Backend › Supabase. Apply both migrations, turn on anonymous sign-ins in the Supabase dashboard (Authentication › Sign In / Providers), and write the public URL and anon key to .env.

    Prompt for the AI

Connect this app to my Supabase project from Server › Backend › Supabase and write EXPO_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL and EXPO_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY to .env. Apply supabase/migrations/20261019000000_ai_kit.sql, then supabase/migrations/20261019120000_murmur.sql (notes, segments, actions, folders, the transcriptions and questions counters, the private recordings bucket). Remind me to turn on Authentication › Sign In / Providers › Allow anonymous sign-ins in the Supabase dashboard, since the app signs each install in anonymously. Then confirm the Notes tab no longer shows the sample notes line.

  2. Turn on the AI

Server › API keys & secrets: add GEMINI_API_KEY, deploy the ai function, and set AI_FREE_UNITS_PER_DAY and AI_PRO_UNITS_PER_DAY (and the monthly caps) to your app's values.

    Prompt for the AI

Add my Gemini key as GEMINI_API_KEY under Server › API keys & secrets. Set AI_FREE_UNITS_PER_DAY to 30 and AI_PRO_UNITS_PER_DAY to 500 (a one-hour meeting costs 6 units to transcribe and 2 to summarize), and MURMUR_FREE_MINUTES to 120 and MURMUR_FREE_QUESTIONS to 10 unless I give other values. Deploy the ai Supabase Edge Function and push its secrets, then invoke it as a test user with { "task": "usage" } and tell me the allowance it returns.

  3. Sell Pro with RevenueCat

Server › Monetization: create the pro entitlement with a monthly and a yearly product, add the public SDK keys, save the webhook secret and deploy revenuecat-webhook.

    Prompt for the AI

Connect RevenueCat under Server › Monetization. Create the entitlement pro and a current offering with a monthly and a yearly subscription, write EXPO_PUBLIC_REVENUECAT_IOS_KEY and EXPO_PUBLIC_REVENUECAT_ANDROID_KEY to .env, and update PLAN_PREVIEW in src/services/iap/index.ts to the same prices. Save a long random REVENUECAT_WEBHOOK_SECRET under Server › API keys & secrets, deploy the revenuecat-webhook function with JWT verification off, and give me the webhook URL and the Authorization header value to paste into RevenueCat › Integrations › Webhooks.

  4. Open audio files on a phone

Optional. Import works in the web build; on a phone it needs expo-document-picker, which the template leaves out. One adapter file changes.

    Prompt for the AI

Add expo-document-picker at the version Expo SDK 57 pins. In src/services/importer/importer.native.ts set canImport to true and implement pickAudio with getDocumentAsync({ type: "audio/*", copyToCacheDirectory: true }), returning the file's uri, name, mimeType and size and its length read from an expo-audio player's duration (levels can stay empty). Keep the 12 MB and one-hour limits from src/services/importer/types.ts, and say in the summary that it needs a new phone build.

  5. Set your icon, store IDs and legal pages

Name, icon, colours and legal page URLs; replace the sample notes and the in-app Terms and Privacy text with your own.

    Prompt for the AI

Rename the app to my name in app.json (name, slug, scheme, bundle id and package) and wherever the screens say Murmur. Redraw assets/icon.svg and assets/adaptive-icon.svg for my brand and render icon.png, adaptive-icon.png and favicon.png. Change brandSeed in src/theme/brand.ts to my main colour. Set EXPO_PUBLIC_PRIVACY_POLICY_URL, EXPO_PUBLIC_TERMS_URL and EXPO_PUBLIC_SUPPORT_URL in .env, and rewrite src/features/legal/PrivacyScreen.tsx and TermsScreen.tsx with my company's policy and terms. If I give you sample content for my audience, replace src/services/notes/sampleNotes.ts and the sample results in src/services/ai/demo.ts to match.

Questions

Is it free?

Copying a free template costs nothing, not even credits; a Premium one is a one-time purchase per website. Chat changes and builds use credits.

What do I own?

You own the app made for you. The template’s code stays InspireUI’s and is licensed for use in your apps (Terms › Our intellectual property).

Do I need to know code?

No. Ask the assistant for changes in plain words; the full source is there when you want it.

Does it come with a backend?

No. A full app names the backend it needs and you connect your own under Server; a design runs on sample data.

Can I change the design?

Yes. The Design tab sets the brand colour, colours, fonts and corners at no credit cost; the assistant changes the rest.

Which plan do I need to publish?

Creator or higher builds and uploads to the stores, with your own Apple and Google accounts. A Premium template’s app builds on any plan once its website is connected.

Can I download the source?

Yes, with Download source or Push to GitHub, once your workspace has bought a plan, credits or a paid template. A Premium template’s app also needs its website connected.

What if it was made with an earlier FluxNative?

Your copy works as it is. Ask the assistant to update it for newer features such as app languages and currencies; it is the last setup step.

Ready to make it yours?

Start from Murmur AI Voice Notes and Meeting Notes App and change anything by chat. Your copy comes with the full source.
