Data and payments
Data and backend
Meal logs and goals live in Supabase, where the assistant creates rules so each person reads only their own log. Photo estimates call the AI model from an Edge Function.
Payments and store rules
AI estimates cost money per request, so Pro is a subscription sold through store purchases, set up on Google Play and in RevenueCat, with a daily free allowance.
A first prompt to send
Send it as it is, or change the details to match your idea.
Build a calorie tracker: onboarding that asks for age, weight and goal and works out a daily calorie and macro plan, a Today screen, meal logging from a photo or barcode with a review step, a weight progress chart, and a Pro subscription. Call the AI model from a Supabase Edge Function, never from the app.
Frequently asked questions
Can the app estimate calories from a meal photo?
- Yes. The Morsel template sends the photo to Gemini through a Supabase Edge Function and shows a review screen with editable portions before anything is logged.
Does it work before I connect a backend?
- Yes. Morsel runs in sample mode on a sample person's two-week log; connect Supabase under Server and add the model key as a secret to make it real.
How do I charge for the app?
- With a Pro subscription sold through the App Store and Google Play. FluxNative sets it up on Google Play and in RevenueCat; Morsel shows sample prices until RevenueCat is connected.
Which app will you launch first?
Start with a prompt, images, or Figma. No credit card required.
