This is the copy people read on the store page.\n\n## Fields\n\n| Field | Limit | Required | Used by |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| Title | 30 characters | Yes | App Store name, Play app name |\n| Subtitle | 30 characters | No | App Store |\n| Short description | 80 characters | No | Google Play |\n| Full description | 4,000 characters | Yes | Both stores |\n| Keywords | 100 characters | No | App Store search, comma separated |\n| Release notes | 4,000 characters | Yes | What's new in this version |\n\nThe title starts from the app name until you save a listing. English (en-US) is the only locale edited here today.\n\n## Draft it\n\n**Draft listing copy** writes a first version from what the app does. Review it, click **Apply draft** to fill the fields, edit, and **Save listing**. Nothing is saved until you do.\n\n## Tips\n\n- Lead the description with what the app does for the person, in one or two sentences.\n- Use keywords people actually search for. Do not repeat words from the title; Apple already indexes them.\n- Write release notes for customers, not for developers.\n\n## Listings and approvals\n\nEach save creates a new listing revision. A release records the listing revision it was approved with. Saving a new listing clears approvals that covered the old one, so nobody ships copy they did not approve. Approve again after you change the listing.\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> Store screenshots, the listing icon, and localized pages are managed in App Store Connect and Play Console. Copy the saved text there when you submit.","sectionSlug":"publish","sectionTitle":"Publish to stores","updatedAt":"2026-09-23T22:51:25.250Z","previous":{"slug":"google-play-testing","title":"Google Play testing"},"next":{"slug":"production-release","title":"Production release"}}
